Overview: Office/field based position managing collaborative cross organisation drug discovery/ development projects, as well as involvement in identifying new business project opportunities. Typical Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in science discipline, plus industry experience, with five or more years’ project management experience.
Competencies / Responsibilities:
Assist in front-line project management activities, as required. This may include attending partnering meetings, presenting on behalf of the company, supporting contract development/deal negotiations and due diligence.
Liaise with and influence key stakeholders (both internally and externally)
Including formal and informal reporting on project progress to internal management as well as to external project owners
Manage, track and record project spend both internally and externally
Work with project teams to ensure effective project conclusion
Effectively manage and allocate resource across project in consultation with departmental heads and general manager
Help identify potential new projects for AMRC by working with external partners and internal experts to review potential new projects
Maintain (in collaboration with project teams) Business Aspects of relevant documents (e.g. Project plans, Financial reporting, TPPs/ slide decks).
Develop solid understanding of the commercial landscape and product differentiators of key competitors for each project.
Provide comprehensive market / company research using a variety of print and online resources and coordinate with internal teams to develop / inform project strategy and selection.
Actively seek to develop the knowledge of others in your own discipline and initiate business and project management discussions within the team.
Develop and maintain a basic knowledge of other relevant disciplines to enhance communication across your project.
Where appropriate supervise a small number of staff, with responsibility for task allocation, training, coaching, safety and ongoing personal development.
Effectively prioritise and deliver own workload and influence the prioritisation and delivery of both internal and external collaborative partners to meet the needs/timelines of the project.
